Seville and Cordoba have undoubtedly been my most beautiful trip so far.
Seville
"Tapas", "Cathedral", "Real Alcázar" and "Giralda" are the words I most frequently hear while I am in the colorful streets of Seville. But there is something that I breathe as soon as I take to the street, something that has neither name nor definition: well-being. A kind of outdoor comfort that transforms the streets and squares into an extension of the house. All this thanks to the fact that the public space is experienced as a place of meeting and gathering: Sevillians, tourists and I feel part of the same kind of celebration of life.
A certain collective euphoria that beats fueled by beauty, light and that smile that you continue to see on people's faces!
Cordoba
Cordoba was a fantastic surprise: UNESCO heritage since 1994, it struck me for its slow pace, its Mezquita-Cathedral that alone is worth the price of the trip and the pink color of which its houses are tinged at sunset.
Seville and Cordoba, two pearls in a corner of Europe! They have in common a Christian and Muslim past, the rhythm of sunny and calm life and Flamenco: this art, recognized as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2010, combines singing, dancing and musical accompaniment (called "cante, baile y toque") and has its origins especially in Andalusia and other regions such as Murcia and Extremadura. It is a cultural event with centuries of history. At the Flamenco Theater of Triana I attended a performance of this art that left me with bated breath for an hour!
